Why Hasalaka / Mahiyanganaya?

  • These areas are severely affected by the Ditwah cyclone.
  • Road access from Colombo is difficult due to landslides blocking main routes through Kandy.
  • These are rural communities where help is not reaching easily.
  • Many houses have been fully flooded for several days.
  • Some people don't even have clothes to wear now.

Current Situation

  • Homes have been destroyed or flooded.
  • Basic needs such as food, water, clothing, and hygiene items are unavailable.
  • Villagers are struggling to survive without support.
  • Access is very challenging, so outside help is urgently needed.
